When I got pregnant I bought a lot of books, I admit. I wanted to find out all the essential things about the coming change. And they used me!

But after Rareș was born, I didn’t seem to have any “curiosity” about theory, written at least. It’s like the moment I picked him up, he started teaching me what to do. That was the moment when I set out to raise him the way I felt and make decisions that I felt were right for him.

In this post we’ve focused your curiosities about life since baby came along. I have taken into account all the questions you have asked me along the way.

Rareș is evolving from day to day. Every day that passes seems to get more beautiful and more lively.

This little man is smiling at me with his whole face. He still has moments when he laughs out loud and I melt, if nothing else. 🙂 He grabs my face with his little hands, cooing at me, looking at me so lovingly. I couldn’t wish for more. He is very sociable, curious, attentive, expressive and, more than that, he smiles at everyone!

It fills me with love and fulfillment. A blessing! We, cooking

Dragos (my husband) and I are taking care of Rareș. We wanted to be a part of his life as much as possible, to take advantage of these moments that we can’t give back, and to raise him as we see fit.

Occasionally, we also have reliable helpers: mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, etc. 🙂

I gave up a lot of classes to have more time with the baby. I teach one, maximum two a day and have done my best to stay in a club as close to home as possible. I no longer have the luxury of sitting in traffic for two hours at a time. I also have weekly runs with Adidas Runners, a show, a meeting, a project or an event. These are the reasons I leave the house. I do the rest of my work on my laptop.

Because I’m breastfeeding, the time is very calculated and I try to feed him before I even leave the house. As I walk out the door, Dragos comes on duty. 🙂 Of course, I leave his milk on ice if I don’t get back in 2-3 hours.

You’ve written to me about how I’m coping with sports and breastfeeding. Well done!

My lactation hasn’t dropped, I don’t have acid milk or whatever else you’ve written that other mommies or even pediatricians have told you.

I feel great after an hour of sport and I pass this on to Rareș. It gives me an excellent tonic, even if I often feel a bit tired because of the few hours of sleep, and those very interrupted. Stress is the danger we need to avoid. Not sport! Sport relieves us of stress, sport makes us more alive, positive and confident. Get moving! As long as time allows 🙂

We get our teeth knocked out, and that’s kind of upsetting. We had 2 weeks of “fussy eating”, crying, and sleeping for an hour at night. It kind of drained my energy but I don’t even want to think about the pain he’s in. I always pray he’ll give me his pain. That’s it. Sleep clearly doesn’t want to be friends with me anytime soon. #rezistăm :))

I admit that I have moments where I watch him sleep even though my eyes are closing from sleep. 🙂

I don’t just make a good team with my husband in this whole adventure. Then there are the accessories that make my work easier and that I have not missed since day one. The sterilizer, breast pump, breast accessories, milk storage, room and bath thermometer. I’ve told you about them in previous posts. We are lucky. When my mother tells me how she managed without all this I am even more aware of our evolution and all the things we have access to today. The steriliser is also Dragos’ favourite because he likes things to always be in their place. When he stays on duty :)) he manages to disinfect them and put them back in place very easily.

Rareș’s room is ventilated every day but I make sure the temperature doesn’t go above 22 degrees. We take it outside every day, even in minus temperatures. For us this is normal.

Of course, everyone does it their own way. 🙂

There are still a few weeks to go, (6 to be exact) but time seems to fly, and we will start diversifying. Also then we will have our first plane trip in 3. I can’t wait!

I think that’s what the next post will be about, with stories about us, obviously. Until then, we’ll hear more about sport, nutrition, healthy lifestyle. 🙂
