Those of you who follow me on social networks and follow the interviews I give, you are already part of my world and know that I strongly support an active and healthy lifestyle.
The holidays just past brought a lot of culinary temptation but also a lack of movement. That’s why I thought I’d give you some simple ideas to put into practice for a fresh start.
1. Positive attitude.
I want to start this year with good energy, determination and positive attitude.
Now is the time to set goals for this year, make a good plan and take action.
2. Clean the fridge and pantry.
The past holidays have filled our pantry and fridge with goodies that are not good for our figure and health (if we consume them in large quantities).
I recommend that the shopping you do from now on should contain fresh foods such as salad, vegetables, fruit, lean meat, pulses, dairy, eggs.
3. Small and safe steps.
I admit that I enjoyed the holidays to the fullest too. I slept a lot, ate differently than I usually do, but it was good for me and that’s what I wanted: to relax and give myself a restart.
Now that I’m back in the normal program, although the job I have pushes me to get back into shape IMMEDIATELY, I’m still trying to do it gradually. That is my advice to you too.
The holiday was nice, but let’s move on. We should not have high expectations from the first weeks. We just need to gradually return to healthy habits.
4. Be patient with yourself.
Don’t expect the results to appear immediately. Set a realistic end date.
The long way is always the safest way. Have faith in the programme you have set yourself. If you’re focused on what you want, you’ll get there eventually. If you are not patient, the results will not show and this will disappoint you and may distract you from your goal.
5. Ready! No apologies.
Let’s get to work! 🙂
I don’t want to hear: “I don’t feel like it today”, “I don’t have time”, “I don’t have anywhere to move” etc.
I have prepared the exercises from the material I made for the magazine OK! Magazine.
