No more nausea, more energy!
That’s how I entered the second trimester of pregnancy. From one week to the next the tummy started to grow. I’ve gained 4 kg so far. I weighed myself today, May 5. Today I am 23 weeks and a few days.
I bought my own scales. I didn’t have one of these at home before, but this moment in my life made me go back to the “best friend” I had 15-20 years ago, when I was on the gymnastics team.
I take the pictures in the Weekend, in the morning, on an empty stomach and the cantor “test” the same. The pictures are taken with the phone, the color difference coming from natural light. 🙂
Surprises, surprises!
I like to speak from experience, not just from books, so I’m putting together a programme for pregnant women and then a bounce-back programme. Sounds good, right? I’m writing down everything I consume, and in 2 weeks I’ll be filming the first series of videos/exercises for future mothers.
I want to have a healthy pregnancy, to enjoy these moments, to take care of us, in a balanced way, and I want to share this with as many mothers as possible.
IT’s a BOY!
We’re having a baby boy!
I wanted to share this news with everyone at a time when I knew that both baby and I were doing well and that the pregnancy was more advanced and healthy.
Dragos I announced with a homemade cake I made (he loves sweets). It was a special moment for us. We’re happy and looking forward to it (we’re still thinking of names) :).
Our love, as I like to call her, or our little one, let me do all the activities I already had planned.
He was also awarded about 2 months ago at the Woman of the Year 2017 Advantage gala for a healthy lifestyle.
We had shoots for different projects, classes every day. And the following weekends are marked with different events or conventions. So, we make a good team and I thank him very much for that.
As soon as the nausea passed, I went back to my healthy habits. About the 4th month, I felt like me again.
I have no cravings, on the contrary, I feel the need to eat fresh, green and in smaller quantities than usual. If in the first trimester I was craving carbs of all kinds, now I want salads, fruit, lean meat, eggs etc.

As I have written and said before, we need to add 2-300 extra calories to our diets as future mothers, from quality products, so that our offspring grow up healthy.
You’ve been asking me where I’m going to give birth, with whom and how, so I’ll concentrate all the answers in this post.
I chose Regina Maria, for the simple fact that it is the hospital/clinic where I had my first gynaecological check-up when I moved to Bucharest. I feel good here and it is also close to home (Baneasa Hospital).
The doctor who supervises me, her name is Carmen Constantinescu. Although I had all sorts of recommendations from other moms, Dr. Carmen is the one I came to for my first checkup after my pregnancy test came back positive, and because I felt good energy, I stayed with her.
That’s me, I go on positive feeling/energy.
I also filled out the birth contract 2 months ago. We opted for natural birth and the stem cell package.
My herniated disc still bothers me sometimes and now I can’t take any painkillers, or do any rehab (except massage) so I have to adjust everything I do depending on how I feel. My health and my baby’s health comes first. Fortunately, there are fewer days when I don’t feel good than when I feel great.
The 2nd trimester morphological ultrasound was a beautiful experience I had with my husband. It’s amazing how today’s technology allows us to see baby’s movements in real time. Feelings hard to describe.
I mark 6 months, the baby is a week older, but perfectly healthy.
I started getting a few things for him and various accessories, such as: videophone, 2in1 pillow, thermometer, changing mat, maternity pillow (this one is for me and it’s excellent), folding cot and a few small accessories.
On Bebe Brands I found a wide variety of products and some discounts, so I preferred to do some shopping online. The purchases arrived home within two days of ordering.
Dragos took care of the trolley, and we’ll probably get the furniture as we go along. Of course, there is still a lot more to take, but I said that we will do it gradually, although the complete list exists, since a few months 🙂
Next week I have a set of exercise videos for moms-to-be and I’m so happy that I can inspire more women.
It is very important to stay active during pregnancy, but even more important is to do the right exercises during this period 🙂
I’m enjoying this time, I know it will pass very quickly. I can’t wait to meet our little one, but until then we are preparing and making sure we are healthy and strong.
